I really can’t think of anything better than an old-fashioned photo-booth. The quote “A picture is worth a thousand words” really does seem like it came from the booth curtain of some dive bar in Orlando. I remember walking into venues and seeing the booths tattooed with stickers of bands, clothing companies and graffiti and feeling more at home than the moments before, knowing it would be a night to remember. You’d always be sure to find an arm, leg or some other extremity sticking outside the curtain, and it was a sad girl or guy that would get their photograph alone. Hell, you’d almost always find anywhere from 4 to 10 people trying to squeeze their way into the shot, arguing over using the red background or the blue, or simply sticking to the white.
I’ve never met anybody that didn’t love a photo-booth, so, to my surprise, when Keiko and I went to my Holiday Party at the SoHo House, I was blown away! There was a hired company to take photo-booth pictures, with a growing line just to get in the shot!
We had a blast and I look forward to the next year, when I can snap away some shots with my friends.
